NEW MEDIA EXHIBITION TEAM

Weaved/Wired 2026 Exhibition Visuals

As a Graphic Designer for NEXT (New Media Exhibition Team), I worked alongside our team to create print visuals and motion graphics to market our upcoming Weaved/Wired 2026 exhibition. I was in charge of creating the background for our main poster based off inspiration boards and the "Iridescent Autonomy" theme that were provided by our Curatorial team. I chose to use TouchDesigner to render the background, and later edited in Photoshop. I also took the lead on creating our motion graphics for Instagram, using TouchDesigner, After Effects and Ableton Live to create a soundscape for the post. The designs shown here represent the final products but also contain some of my drafts that did not make it to the final poster.

A SHARED NETWORK

Arduino + Ableton Live (Featured at the NEXT Weaved/Wired 26 Exhibition)

A SHARED NETWORK is a 4 person interactive experience that utilizes MIDI output through Arduino and Ableton Live. Users operate their button and knob on each side of the device, controlling their own notes, working together to create a shared soundscape inspired by the concept of networks. We’re surrounded by them everywhere we go. The friends we speak to on a daily basis are an example of a network, the birds and bees working together to operate our planet are a network, and the computers we use allow us to network with others across the world. A SHARED NETWORK encourages users to collaborate by playing their notes in harmony, creating sounds ranging from bird chirps, electronic synths, to piano keys. Working together to make these digital yet still physical sounds allows them to create their own network, where each note impacts the harmony of the others.

MONITOR

Arduino + TouchDesigner

MONITOR is an interactive experience that allows users to “scan” their brain and transform it from a restless to calm state by turning multiple knobs on the controller. Inspired by my own experience being diagnosed with ADHD, I intended on this change in emotion to represent how I felt after starting medication. Going from a cluttered brain scattered with thoughts everywhere, then slowly transitioning into a more well defined brain with coherent thoughts as the medication begins to hit my system. Although primarily constructed as a metaphor for my ADHD, users are free to create their own meanings for the brain, one that may feel more representative to them and their own emotions.

TREE SYNTH

TouchDesigner + Ableton Live

TREE SYNTH is an interactive installation blending nature and digital realms, where computer vision tracks hand gestures to trigger MIDI notes in TouchDesigner and Ableton Live, animating a responsive tree visualization that grows with each finger tap. Bird chirps from natural samples pitch-shift and speed-alter across the pentatonic scale on one hand, merging with electronic synths on the other to craft harmonious soundscapes inspired by Björk’s Utopia and my project, A SHARED NETWORK. This setup highlights networks in nature, computation, and human connection, prompting reflection on technology’s environmental impact through gesture-driven audio-visual synthesis.

I'm still working on getting more projects on here, but you can find more of my work on Instagram!
